Day 5: Listen more and talk less.
Over the last few days, we’ve looked at the benefits of spending time alone and taking your focus away from the things that worry you. While solitude can be a great thing to practice, it’s still important to spend quality time with other people.
No matter how stressed you are, spending time with others, especially loved ones, can be a huge emotional support. Your mindfulness practice can extend to how you spend time with others. Truly listening to the other person, instead of what you have to do next or what you want to say, will enrich takes that experience and allow you to enjoy the time you spend with them.
