Our key findings from August 2020:
- We provided full debt advice to over 13,000 new clients in August 2020
- We continued to advise significant proportions of groups who have been identified as most at risk of financial detriment due to the pandemic. These include women, younger age groups, and renters
- Most new clients in August had been affected by life shocks. Experiencing unemployment, redundancy, a reduced income or the financial impacts of coronavirus were the most cited reason for debt among new telephone clients in August
- Our latest website trends show a substantial increase in traffic to our ‘bailiff help and advice’ web page in August. This was the fourth most visited web page during that month. We saw a 652% rise in web traffic to our ‘bailiff help and advice’ web page between July and August
