About our policy research and campaigns

In this section you’ll find all our latest research and reports and up-to-date debt statistics from our work to help members of the public deal with their debts. We make sure the voice of our clients is heard by raising concerns with a range of government and regulatory bodies and making proposals for action.

If you’re an MP or parliamentarian you can find information on our latest campaigns as well as briefings for Parliamentary debates at Holyrood and Westminster. We also provide resources to help constituents deal with problem debt.

Our latest debt research

Our Breaking the Link research looks at the financial circumstances of our clients with vulnerabilities. We supported almost 29,500 people with an additional vulnerability on top of their financial difficulties. That’s the equivalent of one in five clients we helped in 2017.

About our work

This is all in order to achieve positive changes to people’s lives and to work towards a society free from problem debt.
