Working together to tackle problem debt

Our team of debt experts help hundreds of thousands of people a year to deal with their debt problems. We are the UK's only full debt support service that can provide your clients with the widest range of debt solutions and complete flexibility in how they receive advice. With more than 30 years' experience, you can be confident that we'll provide your customers with free and impartial debt advice that's tailored to suit them.

Our vision

We want to create a society free from problem debt. Our partners help us to realise this vision.

Recent client polling shows us that:

  • 92% agreed that if they could go back in time, they’d get advice sooner
  • 55% of StepChange clients waited more than a year to get debt advice

Working with you

Through working with our partners we can reach more of these people and help reduce the harm that problem debt causes.

We promise to work with your customers to resolve the debt problems they face, in an empathetic and supportive manner. We can also support your organisation's employee financial wellbeing activities.

StepChange Connected 2024

We’re delighted to be hosting our annual partner event, StepChange Connected, Thursday 19 September.

StepChange Connected brings together like-minded professionals and thought leaders from a range of sectors to explore the latest trends affecting people in financial difficulty and how we can collectively support more customers in need.

We will host panel discussions featuring industry experts from across our partner network, alongside fantastic guest speakers who will share their insights and expertise. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Nikhil Rathi, Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, and Abby Thomas, Chief Executive and Chief Ombudsman of the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Nikhil will reflect on the progress made in supporting vulnerable customers since the introduction of Consumer Duty, as well as sharing his expertise from a distinguished career, which has taken him from Private Secretary to two prime ministers, to the top of the London Stock Exchange and the FCA.

The full agenda can be viewed here: StepChange Connected 2024 Agenda

Registration and the waiting list for this event are now closed due to overwhelming demand. We look forward to welcoming all those attending.
