Accessibility

We are making our services accessible to as many people as we can

We want to be sure everyone can:

  • Access our products and services, like our website, to help them do what they want to do
  • Use our services and get support when they need it
  • Understand what we say, on our website, when speaking with us on phone or through email or letters

Our services and communications

It is up to you how you get help from us:

  • You can get advice without having to speak to anyone. Use our online debt advice tool at any time that suits you
  • If you prefer to speak to someone, call our friendly teams

We can keep in touch with you by email, SMS or by post. Just let us know what you prefer when you have your debt advice session.

We know dealing with debt is hard. And if you have additional physical, mental or emotional needs, these can make debt even more of a worry. Find out how we can adjust our service to support you.

Can you speak to someone on my behalf?

We will usually need you to sign a 'letter of authority' which shows you have allowed us to do this. There may be times when we do not need you to do this. We will explain how it works when you speak to us.

 Download a letter of authority.

Can I contact you if I'm hearing or speech impaired?

Yes, there are two ways to do this.

British Sign Language interpreters

British Sign Language (BSL) users can get in touch with us using a BSL video interpreter. This is a service provided for us by SignSolutions, using InterpretersLive.

Find out more about connecting with an interpreter.

Relay UK

Or you can contact us using Relay UK. This lets you communicate using your computer, mobile app or through a telephone relay assistant.

To find out more visit theRelay UK website.

Can I choose how you communicate with me?

Yes, we will ask you what you prefer. We can keep in touch with you by email, SMS and by post.

We offer our personal action plans in large print

You can ask for this when you get debt advice over the phone or online. We are working hard to offer more of our communications in large print.

Can I get letters in braille?

Sorry, we are not able to do this at the moment.

We are working hard to offer our communications in other formats.
