Healthcare practitioners. We can help you help others

As the UK’s leading debt charity, we can provide free, confidential debt help to your patients. Last year we helped over 500,000 people get their lives back on track and we’re committed to helping thousands more.

Supporting the healthcare sector

As a primary healthcare practitioner you'll have seen the effects that debt can have on someone’s health. Stress and mental health issues are often connected to money worries and one in four adults with a mental health problem are living with debt or arrears

Thanks to our on-going work with health experts we can ensure that our service best meets the needs of anyone whose physical or mental wellbeing is affected by debt.

We’re committed to helping people deal with their debt problems. By working with you we can reach more people with our free debt service, allowing them to focus on more important things, like their health.

Whenever someone needs help, we’re here for them.
  • If you'd like to speak to a member of our partnership team about how we can start to help your patients with their debt problems, you can contact them here.
  • We have a range of free materials, tools and services available to order from our resource centre including leaflets for your patients, posters and television screen slideshows to be used in patient waiting areas, as well online tools, logos and images.
  • You can also sign up to our free monthly newsletter to keep up to date with all the latest developments including service enhancements, the launch of tools and resources, campaigns and policy changes.

Local GP referrals make a difference

We understand the link between debt and mental health, and the impact that money worries can have on a person's wellbeing.

Often when the cause of a patient's debt problem is addressed, the associated stress and anxiety can begin to lift. That's why referrals from local GPs are so important. Read Margaret's story as an example of how you can make a difference.
