Can I get a payment break on my DMP or TPP?

If you’re a client of ours, you may worry about how your debt solution will be impacted by coronavirus. This is especially true if you've been furloughed, made redundant or had a reduction in income.

If you’re on a debt management plan (DMP) or token payment plan (TPP) with us, you might wonder if a payment break is suitable for you until your situation improves.

Can you reduce my payment or give me a payment break?

If you’re seriously affected by coronavirus and need a payment break or reduced payment, please contact us first to let us know.



Please don’t cancel your next scheduled payment. If you need support, please tell us what you’re dealing with so we can recommend the best course of action for you.

If you have a DMP or TPP and live in Scotland, you can apply for a moratorium of up to six months against court enforcement action, even if you’ve had one before. You can find out more on the Accountant in Bankruptcy website.

I can start paying more into my plan again. What should I do?

If your DMP or TPP payments have been reduced and then you later find you're able to increase them again, please get in touch with us and we'll review your budget.

Please also contact us again when you’re ready to resume making payments to your plan if you've missed payments.We’ll also get in touch with you to discuss your plan if circumstances change again.
