StepChange Debt Charity wins ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’

A debt advisor from StepChange Debt Charity has won a prestigious national award for helping those who are struggling with debt. Patricia Cassidy, who works for Leeds based StepChange Debt Charity has won the Credit Today ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ award. Her win was announced at an awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London last night (May 9 2013).
Patricia has worked as a debt advisor for the leading national debt charity for six years. Her award winning advice helps people with serious financial difficulties deal with their debts.
StepChange Debt Charity has 20 years’ experience of providing free, expert advice to people struggling with problem debt. It has helped two million people to manage and reduce their debts. Over 400,000 people sought the charity’s help last year, and had an average debt of £17,635.
Speaking about her award, Patricia said: “I’m honoured to win the ‘Debt Counsellor of the Year’ award. I was incredibly pleased just to be nominated by the charity and to have won is unbelievable. I will share this award with my colleagues who all work hard to help people in debt.”
