This latest report provides insight into the demographic and debt information of new clients who first received debt advice in January 2024. It also includes the latest insights on our website traffic trends.

Our key findings from January 2024:

  • The number of clients accessing full debt advice in January 2024 is 19,025, which is 65% higher than December 2023 (11,535). This increase is line with trends we see each year between December and January
  • In January 2024, the emergency funding webpage was the most viewed debt information page with 22,370 views
  • Over two in five (43%) clients are in full-time employment, which is two percentage points higher than January 2023 (41%)
  • Almost half (48%) of clients responsible for paying dual fuel bills are in arrears
  • Two in five (39%) clients are in receipt of Universal Credit in January 2024, which is five percentage points higher than January 2023 (34%)
